This fall the Museum is celebrating the grand opening of the $1 million exhibition The Stark County Story. This means exciting things are happening in the Education Department! In addition to the McKinley Gallery and the Street of Shops, the American Heritage Tour will now include The Stark County Story. The 3rd grade Ohio & You program "Stark County Then & Now" has been completely redesigned to utilize the new information presented in the exhibition., and a brand new tour called Destination Stark County has been designed for upper level students, which explores how local events fit into the larger picture of American history.
The McKinley Presidential Library & Museum invites you to bring your class for a day of interesting, fun and educational programs. The Museum strives to provide the highest quality programs to area schools. We are continually improving and changing programs to meet the proficiency requirements and your needs. We welcome your suggestions!
Whether you choose to visit the Museum and experience Discover World, the Planetarium, an American Heritage Tour, Ohio & You, or Destination Stark County, or you choose one of our outreach programs staffed by a Museum professional, be assured that your students will have a rewarding, fun and educational experience that will have them wanting to come back for more. Please see our school programs page for details on all of our programs.
Following your program I encourage you to complete and return the evaluation form provided to you. Your comments and suggestions are valuable as we continue to improve our programs.
